Dr. Mehmet Erdoğan received his M.D. from Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine and is a co-founder of Smile Hair Clinic. He has been a member of FUE Europe since 2020 and currently serves as the President of the Hair Restoration Physicians Association (SAÇREHDER) in Turkey, an organization established to promote ethical, scientific, and high-quality standards in hair restoration through recognized specialists nationwide.
He began his medical career at Acıbadem Health Group as a medical doctor before moving to Medicana Health Group, where his leadership skills and strong understanding of healthcare management led to his appointment as Deputy Chief Physician and Director of the International Patient Center in 2013. During this period, he completed his certifications in hair transplantation and medical aesthetics, expanding his clinical expertise alongside his administrative responsibilities.
With extensive experience in both clinical practice and international medical tourism, he co-founded Smile Hair Clinic in 2018. Since then, he has performed over 4,500 hair transplant procedures and is widely regarded by patients as one of the best hair transplant doctors in the world, known for combining precision, planning, and aesthetics to achieve natural-looking results.
Dr. Erdoğan believes that planning is the most critical step in hair transplantation. Careful donor analysis, hairline design, and personalized planning based on facial features are essential to achieving a balanced and natural appearance. What is the essential value of your personality?
I value aesthetics and perfection almost in all fields of life. Socially, I’d love to feed my soul with fine arts and culture. I believe aesthetics is our inner sense and drives our artistic creativity. My job is to transform men’s appearance in a better way and make an impact on their life. Therefore, I fuse my technical knowledge of hair transplantation with my aesthetic perspective and perform my job as a creative artist.
What is your work style at the clinic?
I enjoy what I do every day, that’s kind of my passion. And without enjoying it, it doesn’t make much sense. I feel privileged to have this gift and doing my best to advance our techniques and introduce innovations.
