From the very first contact through to the after care Smile have been exceptional.
I am a 51 year old man that had Norwood 5 hair loss and have been shaving my head for over 15 years. Last year I thought I’d find out what my options were for regaling some of my hair, after lots of research leading me mostly to snake oil and false claims I realised that a transplant was the only real option for me at this stage.
I made enquiries to several clinics in the UK and Europe and settled on Smile hair clinic in Istanbul.
I opted for the platinum packages as I valued the option of having a doctor perform the incisions. Luckily for me I got Dr Fridays Ahmedov who made me feel assured and did a great job.
I payed my deposit booked my flights and the rest including transfers and hotel were all handled by the Smile team.
On the day of the operation I met some guys at breakfast that had had the op the day before and they reassured me that it was going to be ok. Myself and two other guys were picked up on time and transported to the clinic in comfort ( these guys were great fun and there was lots of laughter on the way).
Once in the clinic everything went as planned, the technicians were very kind and professional. and worked so efficiently with constant reassurance and updates on progress. 6 hours passed very quickly resulting in 3800 grafts moved from the back to the front and mid of my head.
I am now 10 days post operation and I am so pleased with the result. The scabs have gone and the dull pain and itching have subsided.
If you are thinking of having a hair transplant I would highly recommend Smile hair clinic.

I had two transplants done at Smile. I went to smile hair clinic after seeing the results they had on YouTube. My first experience was okay, they were accommodating and helpful in making me comfortable. I felt a little rushed and probably tried to do too much with too little money. They said how many hairs could be transplanted, which seamed higher than I thought I would get, and I decided to go for it. Over a year later, I was not completely satisfied with the result. I think they overestimated as well. They recognized this when I told them I wasn’t satisfied, and off the offered to touch it up for me. I paid for accommodation and travel the second time, but they did more than a touch up. They went above and beyond and did more than my first transplant. Around 2600 grafts?!! I was blown away by the result just a year later. I was a Norwood 3 roughly, now I have a full head of hair.
If you are planning on going, make sure you have time to rest after the procedure, at least a day, and factor in travel time, Istanbul is big!. The second transplant for me, was rushed, and because they were comping it for me, I felt I didn’t get the white glove treatment like i did the first time. They did a great job, but the procedure was a little rougher and the clinic seemed busier. The doctor moved very quickly and the aids didn’t make much effort to make me comfortable. However, with that said, it was very generous, so I was grateful either way. I knew what to do this time.
The healing process was very stressful, because I didn’t book enough time to rest. I had to travel with my head bandage and couldn’t get back to the clinic to clean it and remove bandages. Luckily I had done it before, so I knew what to do. But I did have some large bald patches on my donor area for about 4 months after, indicitave of trauma to the scalp in those areas. Not sure if the workers were rougher this time, or if I had caused issues travelling with my head in a bandage for an extra 8 hours. After several months back home, I had to find a doctor in my city who would give me steroid injections to ensure that I didn’t lose those patches and the follicles for good. This was on the advice of my family doctor and was just precautionary, as the smile team did not think it was necessary. They assured me the hair would grow back, but I didn’t want to take any chances so I did it anyway. The whole experience overall was amazing, and i am so happy and grateful for the result. I would say, they have a great team full of beautiful people who will help you get the best result. Just follow their directions, and don’t rush it. Most of the stress could have been avoided for me, if I had just saved a little more money the first time and gone for the big result rather than having to come back. They did come through in the end and I’m very grateful. Thanks everyone at smile!

Operation went great and better than I expected in terms of a service. Happy with the results so far, some transplanted hairs are stiff and less manageable especially with the short haircut, but it is expected to be after 12 months and situation is slowly improving.

Waiting for final results after 15-18 months when my transplanted hairs will blend more with others.

In the future, I will probably go to the same clinic if I need a touch-up procedure.

I got recommended smile hair clinic from a friend he had fantastic results so passed me over there contact details so I thought I’d do some investigating i saw they had fantastic results with hair transplants on there socials, decided too give them a message they replied really quick and was great at asking the right questions and got everything they needed too know from me we went back and forth for a while going over ideas and what was realistic for me I was happy with everything so booked a flight too Istanbul.

On the day everyone was really professional kind and warning doctors consultants and professionals who worked there explained everything about the procedure really well after a few forms filled some blood tests taken your then ready dor surgery couldent be any happier with the results they’ve done such a professional job hair is a massive thing too us men we all receded so why not go too a really professional clinic! I’m 8 days in and everything looks good so far amazing team of people 👍🙂

TERRIBLE WORK AND FAILED TRANSPLANTS!!!!

I was told a limo would pick me up and I was picked up in a black cargo van used for Reno's or something. I was very confused thinking am I going to the wrong clinic??

When you arrive you will be rushed to pay and pushed to buy extra things with no niceties.
The people barely speak English and can't explain much you will just be along for the ride going well I'm here now :(.
You will be rushed to pick from 2 front hair lines then off to get around 40 numbing needles in your head which hurt...
You will have a cheap lunch in essentially in a box like a. Microwave dinner.

DO NOT give a review when your done. They push too many people for this as there excited as thy see what appears to be a lot of hair after being bald and get exited.WAIT until 1 year.

My transplant failed as a large portion of grafts didn't take. I did everything by the book
( I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU GET IT DONE IN YOUR OWN COUNTRY. Or another clinic which shows good and bad reviews as much of these are bull shit

I got my hair transplant with smile clinic 1 week ago on a Monday. My experience has been a great experience! Coming from the U.S. the process was easier than expected. All communication was clear and to the point through what’s app. East to follow steps from airport, hotels, scheduled appointments it was all communicated through what’s app. They even picked us up from our personal hotel. All the shuttles rides were on time and plenty of time to get back to hotels and the airport .

On the day of the surgery the doctor and technicians explain everything clearly. The consultation on the day of the surgery went over realistic expectations and concerns are discussed from my point of view and the doctors. The clinic the staff and the doctors are all very nice, patient and professional. The clinic is very modern clean and well organized. The surgery is also very well organized with a nice lunch in between and I was taken care of when I had little moments of pain they would kindly add anesthetic. That was the most painful part was the initial anesthesia.

One week into recovery everything has gone great only the donor area has been sore but getting much better now. They give you all the instructions and a very nice after care kit. I highly recommend Smile hair clinic they are very good at what they do.

I went a year ago and did 4000 grafts, approximately 50% worked.. The clinic told me they would do it again for free, then changed their minds and said 40% off, wow....

I will NEVER have enough hair to do my crown

Trust me they have kids doing there work ( always pay MORE and go to somewere local)
NEW people dont realize once your donor hair is gone you cant to anymore transplants period...

Really professional hair clinic! I was surprised the way they manage to do multiple surgeries on a day. The staff is really good and speaks good English also for a lot of languages they have translators available.

From the first WhatsApp message with the case manager (Yuksel Ozturk) to the consult and surgury and post operation check everything was clearly explained. Smile hiar clinic provides a amenity kit with everything you need post surgery (medicines, neck pillow, Hair lotion, shampoo, repair cream and a brochure with what do and not to do and FAQ). Also the follow up when you are back at home the patient experience team (Pelin) does a great job in assessing post operation photos and giving advise as per necessary.

Really happy with the procedure and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good clinic to solve hair loss problem.

The follow-up care on Sunday, including the bandage removal, detailed explanations of the next steps, and the first hair wash, was very well organized. You can clearly see that they work in a structured and patient-focused way.
I also feel very well prepared and informed about the upcoming aftercare period. Overall, I felt taken seriously, safe, and professionally supported throughout the entire process.
